THE CHALLENGE OF MISSION AND EVANGELISM IN THE TWENTY FIRST CENTURY
LONDON, UK.

One of the main challenges today for all forms of the church is how to engage with mission and evangelism in the 21st century.

Not only are people groups split into different ethnicities and cultures, but further, there are increasingly different world views, premodern, modern and postsecular. So how do churches engage with such a fragmented and difficult context? If statistics are correct, in many areas of London there
are new groupings of post secular spiritual seekers who are interested in spirituality rather than religion, how do local churches engage with such people?
This one day training event for Ordinands, Clergy, Readers, Licensed Lay Ministers, Youth and Church Workers, aims to provide some social analysis, exploring the presenting spiritual needs to then explore possible approaches of engagement. This will draw on the growing experience of new and old forms of church around the country as well as the work on various missioners and pioneers.
